The group released two albums for RCA, in 19, but scored only one charting country single with "Love Is a Word". In the early 1970s, Newton, Otha Young and Tom Kealey formed a band that would eventually be called Juice Newton & Silver Spur, which was signed to RCA Records. She then formed a folk-rock band with guitarist and songwriter Otha Young, and toured bars in Northern California with her band. Her mother encouraged her interest in music, giving Newton a guitar for her 13th birthday. He’s also gone close at this venue over this trip too, finishing a neck second here from his current mark back in 2o21.Newton was born in Lakehurst, New Jersey, but graduated from First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The forecast thunderstorm certainly wouldn’t do his chances any harm either, as he likes softer ground. Where did he last win? That’s right, Doncaster, where he came readily clear over further at this level back in October of last year. Those looking for an each-way punt at big odds could certainly do worse than the Tim Easterby runner. He may be 40/1, but discount Dark Jedi at your peril. Our Dark Horse Prediction: Dark Jedi 40/1 (each-way) Balding also saddled the winner of this race in 2021, while the higher rated horses have a very good recent record in this contest. Harry Davies takes a handy 3lbs off, while trainer Andrew Balding has had his string in decent form of late. This race is slightly less demanding, while he looked like he’d have more to give when winning comfortably at Newmarket on his penultimate start. This horse failed to confirm the wealth of support that he received in the market ahead of the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes at Royal Ascot, but don’t be surprised if he leaves that effort behind. Our Each-Way Prediction: Teumessias Fox 12/1 (each-way) Yes, the handicapper has slapped this runner with another 5lb hike in the weights, but he performed like a horse that could deal with a mark of 94 when beating a very decent field last time out. What’s more, just like his win at Ascot did, his effort when coming two lengths clear of the field at Epsom over this trip last time out point towards him having more up his sleeve. He really hasn’t put a foot wrong since returning to action this season. With enough juice in 7/1 to play each-way, Sheer Rocks is very hard to not bet on here. Our Best Prediction: Sheer Rocks 7/1 (each-way) Finding the winner is never easy and that’s absolutely the case ahead of what is a very competitive betting heat.
